The Practice

“I choose to look to nature and the joys of love to keep me going.” — Malebo Sephodi.

The Emotional Recovery journey is a practice of replenishment. A very dynamic community of practice that works on cultivating deep listening, grounded safety, & a culture of connection that acknowledges our full humanity as complex humans. This journey takes a restorative approach to providing healing interventions that helps restore peace and wellbeing during times of change, loss, births, deaths, conflicts, disasters, & other emotionally intense life transitions of all kinds.

These well circles support individuals and groups to integrate experiences of trauma, recover their sovereignty, repair deep connection to self & each other, and rebuild constraining systems into ones that considers everyone’s safety. Whether you need support with your individual, family, work, or community relationships, the Emotional Recovery Covenant meets all care partners where they are, handling every experience carefully, intimately, & intentionally. This journey is grounded in the practice of Restorative Storytelling, a transformative method that draws on neuroscience and Indigenous knowledge.

Restorative Storytelling Circles offer a life-affirming path that goes beyond traditional trauma responses. Our approach is centered on improving mental wellness through practices that promote rest, reduce stress, reconnect us to our bodies, and heal the deep-rooted effects of trauma and overwhelm that shape our lives.

By embracing our intuitive wisdom, we empower ourselves to self-govern our health and well-being, reclaiming our health sovereignty. This process is not about "fixing" anyone, as there are no "experts" in this practice—only individuals working together in healing.
